Portrait of the Food Supply (2016-2022)

These studies generate new data on different food categories.

The Observatory conducts research on the Québec consumers’ most purchased food categories. The data generated by these studies make it possible to locate and track the quality of the selected food and consumer purchases over time.

Initial overview of
15 food categories 2016-2022

This report provides an initial portrait of the supply and purchases of 15 food categories collected in food markets in Québec or Canada between 2016 and 2022.

Measuring the evolution of these 15 food categories over the next few years will be a tool to inform biofood manufacturers and public health partners on which improvement efforts to prioritize, and to support the move towards an improved food offer.
